Henry Alline letter, 19 July 1776.

Letter sent by Boston, Mass. notary public, Henry Alline, to his brother and sister, July 19, 1776, describing a public reading of the Declaration of Independence from the balcony of the Old State House (referred to as the Town House), in Boston. The letter also describes an outbreak of smallpox in Boston, and the health of Alline's family.
